Has anyone used these for blade sharpening. I used them a couple of years ago and the turnaround was very poor. A few weeks backl theyc alled me asking to give them another chance as they had improved service etc etc. This is what website says:-
TURNAROUND
1. On the day we receive your blades, we will phone you between 9.00am and 11.00am to confirm receipt and tell you when your
work will be leaving our premises - this will be within 1 - 2 working days from the date received.
When you get your blades back - there will be a Post Office date stamp on your package, which will tell you the date the blades
were sent back to you.
2. If during the day, you leave a message on our answer phone - we will call you back between 4.00pm and 5.00pm to speak
to you while you are still at work.
If you ever have a query, please do not hesitate to contact us - we really do want to provide the best service we can.
Please send your blades in confidence.
Well I sent blades special delivery and still nort heard from them despite leaving messages on mobile and landline. Just wondered if anyone had any experiences of their service?

I used them twice and they didn't ring to confirm receipt. I can't remember the turnaround time. Didn't think my blades were much better for being sharpened either. I've been wondering where else to use but decided to invest in some new blades anyway. I've also ordered a ceramic blade to keep as a backup.
I used them a couple of times about a year ago and had problems with the turnaround time,to be honest I thought I would never get the scissors back,both times he held on to them for several weeks and he wasn't answering phone calls either.He still sends flyers out to me but there's no way I would ever use him again.I use John Owen of Leading Edge now.

Thanks for that. I will just keep fingers crossed that I get the blades back.

Hmmmm...Still no reply! It says they are on holiday in May, maybe it should say Feb?? Really annoyed now :-(
When did you post the blades? He had my blades/scissors for 5 weeks once. Fingers crossed you get them back.

OMG! I only posted them on Monday. Did you ever get to speak to him on the phone?
I tried many times to contact him by phone and left messages but he didn't get back to me,I did eventually speak to him after several weeks though.I think you will get the blades back-eventually.Speaking to one of the grooming suppliers it seems other people have had problems too.

Just to update. He called me this morning and was extremely apologetic.He was called away because of an ill relative. He did my blades on Saturday and I received them today. He could not have been more sorry and has made me a very generous goodwill offer on my next order. All sorted now so wont let this put me off this time. These things happen.
I wish I'd read this before I sent my blades!!!

Cashed my cheque on 22nd
It's not 26th and still not heard a word from them (despite the website promises)
I have called both landline and mobile, and emailed, and NOTHING
Really, really, really poor service!!! At least it seems I will get them back even if it takes a while......?
I have also used Elite Edges and had similar poor service1st order was charged to my visa twice and took 2 weeks to return I wasn't going to use them again but he phoned me back after I sent him an email expressing my disappointment. He appologised profusely and offered me a generous credit on my next order so decided to try again thinking that they would be certain to send them back quickly to make a better impression. However I was wrong and they took nearly 3 weeks.Just received an offer leaflet from them but would not use them again even if they were free.
