I posted the other day about my girl who has had a cough for several years. No treatment or investigation has provided an explanation.

I was taking my piriton tablet yesterday and remembered that allergies had been mentioned. As my girl was in the kitchen at the time and was as usual coughing away I decided to give her a piriton too. I knew from a discussion on another forum that it is safe to do.

When I got up this morning it took me a little while to realise that all was quiet. Then I noticed that my girl was lying in her bed not coughing at all where as usually she is carrying on like a 60 a day smoker! Obviously it is too soon to be certain I have solved the problem but this is the first thing I have done that has made any difference to her cough. We have been for a walk with  only a very slight cough when she pulled on the lead and she is quiet now.

I really hope that this is the answer.
