We have never had a dog walker before who comes to the house and she will begin next Wednesday. As she enters the front door, the pup and one adult will be in a room to her right, through a babygate. The other adult will be in the room in front of her, through a babygate.
We don't live near friends/family and have no regular visitors to our house, as such we both have let doggy entrances slide. For instance, when I enter the house (whether i've been gone 5 minutes or 2 hours) everyone jumps around like absolute lunatic idiots. I pay them NO attention whatsoever and put them straight into the back garden where they run a bit and come back in and greet me normally. My OH does not do thiis and allows them to jump all over him until they stop. They also carry out this behaviour when the collars and leads for walkies come out. I make them stand still before I will put on a collar, and again before opening the door, and leaving for a walk. OH doesn't. He'll just wrangle with them until collar/lead is on and go. So naturally I'm really worried about the poor dog walker coming in now to three large, bouncy dogs. :(

Any dog walker worth their salt will be quite used to this and manage fine :) They will be used to far worse dogs than greyhounds :D

Do you think so? It just seems such bad manners but as it's only the pair of us here and doesn't bother us we just left it alone as a non issue.
Just make sure the dog walker knows what sort of behaviour to expect and your preferred way to deal with it. I´m sure, as has been said, an experienced dog walker will be well able to cope.
I wouldn't worry, I agree that a dog walker will be used to this!

Yes, just warn her about the manic bouncing and say how you'd prefer her to react, any decent dog walker should be used to excitable dogs looking forward to their outing!

Don't know about the layout of your house, but a baby gate a few feet back from the front door will keep the rampant hounds at bay when she gets in.
