Thank you for your ideas, its been fun and then frustrating in equal amounts as so many trees are used as Kennel Club names. Ive been putting them into the KC name checker, so at least I get a rough idea if they would be accepted or not. My KC name has three syllables so that helps with the shorter names.
This is what I have so far:
Boys:
Red Oak
Copper Beech
Rayner's Alder - my Grandmother requested this one, Maple my girl is named in memory of my Grandfather.
Chestnut Flame
Claret Ash - there is actually a real tree called this
Girls:
Russet Apple
Hawthorn Ruby
Syca more Scarlet - this one has had to have a space in it as Sycamore is a Kennel name already
Rowanberry - Rowan on its own is also a kennel name so had to go for this spelling, Rowan is the name that has been chosen by one of the new owners.
Cadmium Cherry
Ive got two that Im a bit stuck with, but would really like to find a good version of these names:
Juniper
Acorn I wanted Autumn Acorn or Autumn's Acorn but Autumn/'s is a kennel name already
Any ideas for the last two gratefully received :D

You could always do what GCCF cat breeders (limited to one or two words only for the name) do, and run the words together. In this day & age of internet website names being words all squashed up, it's even more acceptable and not as odd-looking as it once was...
So you'd have Sycamorescarlet, Autumnacorn, and so on. If they were ever shown and the owners 'mistakenly' added a space between the words in the catalogue, I don't think anyone would notice ;)
I know lots of people like A words for first litters, might not be your cup of tea, but you do have some nice A's in there - Alder, Acorn, Ash, Apple, Aspen, Acacia, Acer and so on if you did want to go down that route.
Just an idea :)
