O rings are not easy to come by unless you want huge ones, I ended up with D rings for slip collars I am making.

I am sorry, did not look at it in context, to me O rings are rubber and used for sealing, a sort of washer (like a thick rubber band), did wonder what you would use them for on dog tack but just accepted that you did.

Just a word of warning to those making leads, collars, harnesses etc.  Be very careful about the fittings you use, and test them thoroughly.  someone i know was walking her 4 dogs this week when the D ring on the harness opened/moved and the dog becase detached - on a busy road, and she had the other 3 to cope with.  In my opinion open rings/Ds should never used, and brass fitting rather than chromed may well be stronger.   Le Prevo have a great range of fittings, but do you own checks first.  http://www.leprevo.co.uk/.  With a background in horses I tend to pay attention to the fittings, clasps etc, but looking around so many are making their own things and selling them on line, simply buying form ebay etc for the fittings without any consideration of safety.  I actually considered adding harnesses to my range of coats etc, but for reasons of safety decided against it.

It seems like when ever I start searching for something on Ebay they are not in big enough numbers/size etc. suddenly within weeks there are loads available like someone is spying on my searches.

That link for 20 looks OK just need to decide on size, with D rings you know the webbing is going across the straight bit but with a circle the webbing is going to have to curve.
