I am thinking about having this done, and just leaving an area for toileting and digging. Has any CD'ers got this ? How do you find it ? Is it as good as the adverts say ? Would love to hear opinions and recommendations if you have any, before we take the plunge. Do you get weeds and stuff growing through it ?

I don't like it by that's just a personal thing. However, I know dogs will still toilet on it so it depends on the reasons you want it.

I want it as my garden just ends up a mud bath in winter. I don't like gravel as a couple of mine will pick it up and bring it in the house, and I am scared they might swallow it. Just want something that will look nice easy to keep clean, and we could sit out on on the odd day we get a bit of sunshine.

This subject always comes up during "mud bath" season - we have brown soup in places where we used to have soil

Here's one such topic - artificial grass, but if you use the search engine at the bottom of the page you'll probably pull up a few more :)

Did you do it yourself julie t or did you get a company in ? How much did it cost if you don't mind me asking ?

Was going to do it then decided not to cut the grass to near to the winter so it has a bit a length to protect it. The only place I have put a piece of artifical  grass is at each end where they run in and out of the grass area so far this has worked.

I am with Arched on this, i personally do not like it. I have slabs in my garden so it is clean all year round.
