Hi I have a blue and white collie dog (not merle) sounds daft but by blue and white I mean his fur is more grey at the routes and darker nearly black at the ends, and his eyes are not bright blue they are a greeny more like Weimaraner colour eyes, I'm looking to stud him and my options are quite open but have had interest from somebody that has a blue and white whippet bitch? Any thoughts on this guys? Thanks

Ditto Nova. If this was serious it would be a disaster.

Has your dog had the health testing described in this link?

If not thats the biggest reason not to breed him.
With so many dogs in rescues realy only the best examples should be breeding.

If this is a serious question, mating a whippet bitch to a collie is not very wise as whippet is much smaller than your dog, never a thing to do large dog-small bitch as result could be very sad ending to the bitch...

I think both owners need to study a little about breeding before even thinking any further as this kind of breeding practises are very irresponsible, breeding is much more than putting two dogs together and crossing your fingers. Just because you are planning cross breeding (why?) does not mean health testing the parents is not necessary.

By the way, I believe your dog is a merle so you need to study little more about that as well.
