3 not quite week old frenchie pups mum ceaser and now no milk not interested in babies. Not putting much weight on and they have lost one pup already x

Have you posted on the Facebook group? There seems to be a high success rate of finding foster mothers there.

I use Bilinghursts milk drink on mother to help with milk production and it is also worth trying homeopathic remedy urtica to bring milk down, check on Internet as one concentrate brings milk in and one dries it up

Milk drink

250ml milk,
1tsp honey
2 tsp flax seed oil
Junket
1 egg
Shake together in jar, allow to stand somewhere warm for 10 mins

We can't often get junket so I use vegetarian rennet from Holland & Barrett, just add about 10 drops

Are they bottle feeding?  If so what with, and have they managed to get some of Mum's colostrum down them?  I have no knowledge of using an outside foster, but have had one of my girls feed anothers pup/pups without problem, however I think I would rather bottle rear myself than entrust the litter to someone else.  I had to raise a little of 3 pugs in May when I lots their Mum, it is time taaing but very rewarding.

bottle feeding whelpi, were trying for 5 days but mum wasnt interested and were advised to give up after 5 days and mums boobs completely gone now. i think the mum would come to laura not her babies go elsewhere. how often between feeds and what with? Stud dog owner doesnt want to know now his choice of puppy has died, he has dilutes but i warned her about this type of breeder and she now knows why not only a question of colour.

ETA unless foster has babies of her own. What about lack of antibs? colostrum from hyperdrug?

IF they didn't manage to get any from Mum then colostrum from Hyperdrug essential NOW.  I can't imagine anyone loaning a bitch to go to someone's home and feed a litter, in the cases I have heard of it has always been the pups coming to Mum.  Essential they are fed at  least every 2 hours, round the clock, and weight is carefully monitored, I would say at least twice per day.  I always feed my own mix  (1 small tin carnation evaporated milk, equal amount goiled, cooled water, 1 egg yolk only, few drops abidec.  )  Feed at room temp., keep in fridge, covered, and mix fresh every day.  Be scrupulously clean about bottle, teats etc.

I have to agree with Gwen.  I would be more than happy for one of my bitches to help out pups in need.  But never in a million years would you be taking my bitch away from me.  I honestly don't see anyone agreeing to that either.
