3 here but I know my personal maximum sits between 6-10 (personalities depending!)

3 for us at the moment but will be keeping another from the next litter. I only go to 4 on a crossover and bless her Granny Pepsi is 10 3/4 now. The most I ever had was 14 GSD's but I did have kennels and large runs and lived on the edge of the forestry commision land in Wales so was able to walk them all easily...but never EVER again will I do that, it was ex-OH's choice not mine I was just the unpaid kennel help ! (Hence EX). I felt they never got enough 1 -1 time.

So?  As long as you're happy, and you can manage another, that's what counts :-)

Have to laugh! I know loads of dog people who, when asked, always say far fewer than they really have.

One friend used to have 30+ poodles but when anyone asked, she'd quickly say " SIX" then change the subject.

I'm a compulsive truth speaker myself LOL but I can see the logic here! I know a fair few people who never give numbers, and there is SO much talk behind their backs about how many dogs they have -wild guesses ranging from anything from 30 to 60. They'd probably be better off telling everyone how many there are to stop the rumours.

The best answer I've ever heard was from a cat breeder. His answer was that he had two cats. As in "two many."

I have camping/caravanning holidays but the sites that take loads of dogs, don't like kids and vise versa!  The sites that my kids like, I can only take 2/3 dogs.

Do you know what I hate? People that say to me - "Many dogs do you have now!!!?".  Do they not realise how rude that is.  They make you feel like a circus freak! I've learnt to either ignore or say "Oh, dunno, I've got that many, I've lost count".  Hehe.

3 large dogs in one tiny house (with a huge garden, typical!) I haven't found the move up to three bad but i wouldn't move up to 4 probably ever. Possibly if we lived in a large house with more space but i still doubt it.

Just the one dog currently - but hoping to add numer two sometime next year :)
For now I have fulfilled my need for lots of pets by having lots of reptiles and a few rats. But I'm sure once we're in a position to do so we will have a decent sized pack of dogs :)

I have 12 :) 8 gsds 2 tibetan mastiffs a chi and a tiny JR I live on a small holding of 36 acres with a river running through my land.  They all get on really well and never have a prob with my entire males (4 of them) I am really lucky and they are such a happy bunch

im going to see her and see how she feels about us all on sunday,wish i could post a photo of her i want to show her off to everyone....

EIGHT gsd's? now to me thats heaven!! i LOVE dogs and theyre my on my fav list as no:3,obviously the rott is first and then poodle next in line...
Its the other half who thinks its like a dog rescue here but tbh i cant see his problem his mum has 6 dogs!!! LOL...

I have 3 at the mo, 2 GSDs and a mongrel (strictly speaking, he belongs to OH).  We used to have 4.  Would love to have 8 GSDs but am waiting for the kids to all push off so we can move to somewhere with more land (have threatened to just move and not tell them where we're going :-D )

I am so lucky :) my son always says "why have we got so many dogs?"  I tell him they are better than kids lol
