Hello all

Bit of a random dilemma I have never had before.

At an open show with breed classes of junior, post grad and open only.  Where does the av puppy fit in.  I am confused by wording of the exception

Exception reads
A puppy, unless a class for dogs under 12 months that it is eligible for is provided.

Technically a class for UNDER 12 months hasn't because junior is up to 18 months but there is a class there that he could compete in so does the exception/exemption cover a 6 month pup that has breed classes or not??

Normally I would just go ahead and enter in junior but my issue is I am a lone handler and I have one dog who will be 12 months then and a fresh 6 month pup out for a first show.  So just has a deciding factor on if I enter 1 or 2 dogs.

If there are no breed puppy classes then yes one in AV puppy and the other in breed junior..

Agree and don't forget if either of your pups remain unbeaten by another pup they are eligible for Puppy group or BPIS but the pup that wins outside the breed classes can't be awarded BPIB unless it is entered in a breed class.

Thanks both, one in junior and one in AV pup it is, not concerned about BPIS it just exposure for the younger one :)
