Well my crazy lovely puppy has managed to have one of her mad moments around the garden and thought she could jump this wood that my OH was sawing off - needless to say she couldn't and hit her leg on it, she gave it a good whack and made a big noise as you can imagine.  We felt it and she didn't seem to mind much and it all felt normal so we thought she had bruised it.  She limped for the rest of the day but wasn't as bad the following day.  This was Friday, today she was jumping about as she was excited to see the neighbour at the fence and we whimpered and limped quite badly for a while but she seems much better now.
She hit the bit up to the first join above her paw if that makes sense.
Should I take her and get it checked at the vets or just leave off the walks for a few more days and see then.  Is there anything else I can do or try to help. 

I would rest her overnight and if no better then ask the vet to give her the once over.

The Sheltie across the road from my tripped down the step to the garden and yelped, he hopped for a bit then seemed OK but 2 days later started to limp again...x-rays showed a fracture so I would have it checked out if I here you.
