My bitch is on day 60 and as of last night I'm not sure if she looks as pregnant as she did!  Unlike her last pregnancy where she remained slim but had a nice neat bump (produced 8 pups) this one has been different in every way and her shape has been different.  She has looked very wide towards the end of her ribs with only a slight bulge in her tummy area so I presume carrying them higher?  Looking back at photos she looks more preganant this time than she did at the end of term last time.  Last night I thought when looking over her while she was standing she didnt look as wide and this morning I'd say the same.  Still has a bit of a bump though.
Is it normal for the shape to change at this stage?  Or should I be getting her checked?

If you aren't sure have her checked but you only have a couple of days to wait in any case

I think second litters they always look bigger even if carrying the same or less pups.

The muscles etc have already been stretched in earlier pregnancies so they never look the same second time around.

The pups drop  at varying times and can alter the shape/looks dramatically, she may not last till 63 days, what day did she whelp last time?

I hope all is well

She had 8 last time on day 60, she's been scanned for 8 this time too.  I was more worried she didnt look as big anymore but think it may just be she has dropped slightly so now when I look at her standing from above she has a sort of waisteline again if you know what I mean?
My sister stopped by and thinks I'm mad as does my OH!  I think I just have to have something to worry about :-)

I find that they do look slimmer as the pups move into the birth canal.  Good luck.
