To qualify for Cruft's a dog has to come 1st, 2nd or 3rd in certain classes (Minor Puppy, Puppy, Junior, Post Graduate, Limit or Open) at Championship Shows where Challenge Certificates are on offer for the breed.

Not sure about the Stud Book number, as I haven't been showing for a couple of years, and the rules keep changing! I'm sure someone else will come and help on this one.

Flat Coats & Cockers need to win 1st, 2nd or 3rd in Open Class or Limit Class where CC's are on offer or a Challenge Certificate or a Reserve Challenge Certificate or a Junior Warrant to gain a Stud Book Number which then qualifies that dog for Crufts for life.
