Can't remember experiencing this before but 9 month old has not long finished her season and appears to have breast tissue underneath her titties.  Is this normal to 1st season.  I do have a boy in the house, he's not been near her unless I've missed it.  We're about 2 weeks post season if that.  Should i give her anything or will it settle.  Even my girl who have had pups didn't get this.  Tissue feels quite firm and raised.

its usual for my but dont play or you will make it worse. Just hormones and she could be a phantomer as mine is, in the future

Thanks, have had a second feel today so won't anymore.  Can see it.  Would you treat for phantom or let it settle on its own with it being her first one.  She's fine in herself.  Will keep an eye on her next season to see if it happens.  I did start giving her raspberry leaf tabs but stopped when she finished as had started them late

I dont like to give anything unless 100% needed so no i wouldnt, just treat her as normal. If in the future you plan to mate her watch out for oscar winning performances.

You could try some cuecumber.  If she'll either eat it from you or mashing some and putting it through her dinner.  It will help gid rid of the milk if thats what it is.  One of mine gets slightly enlarged breasts after each season but doesnt get any other syptoms of a phantom.

This happened to my bitch, huge boobs and bright pink nipples! Same thing happened to her mother, not saggy but definitely there! In fact I had one puppy in her litter that had tiny little boobies right from when she was about six weeks old, just loose skin but it did make me giggle.

Non Alpha bitches in the wild would produce milk after each season to feed the Alphas pups whilst she was out hunting, so very normal and some domestic dogs do take it to the extreme, I'd continue as normal and her bits will get smaller but never go back to pre first season state.

Thanks for all your replies and advice, so relieved it is normal.  It does co-inside with my girl possibly carrying pups, so hope it goes down before then. :)

She does appear t have any other symptoms and is her cheerful self.  Cheeky as ever.

Yes it gave me a giggle

I'll give her some cucumber, she loves it, no problem getting that down her

bitches go through the same hormone changes whether mated or not, so signs of phantom pregnancy to some extent are normal, some just show more symptoms than others, but hormonally their bodies think they are pregnant.

Just treat as normal unless symptoms are severe.
