Hello, this is my first post, I am really desperate for some help and advice, please. First, I made a mistake of getting 2 puppies at the same time(a week apart), one Chihuahua and one Pomeranian, both girls, 10 and 9 months now. I am finding it really hard to house train the puppies, although the Pom seems much quicker to learn, she will poop in her cage or under the table if she can't hold it, and she will bark a lot beforehand, to warn us I think? The Chi will also poop inside, but she is sort of very blase about it- the Pom knows, by her body language, she shouldn't poop inside, but the Chi doesn't seem to understand neither telling off nor praise. The Pom always expect a treat when she poops outside, but the Chi doesn't seem to care? But, what worries me the most is that the Chi will, most of the time, eat, and take apart, her poop, also lie on it. Outside, if we are not quick, she will try to eat or lick other dogs poos, and ever walk all over it!! I am thinking she must have serious psychological problems? Is that possible? She is a deer hear chi, the type that shakes a lot. The Pom and Chi can be the best friends together, but, at least once a day, the Chi growls and goes for the Pom, who will retaliate. This behavior started a few weeks after we got the puppies. I want to get rid of the cages and let the puppies sleep on the sofa, but worried because I did find poo twice on the sofa, where the Chi was, I think she poops under the table and took the poop to the sofa to much on it, I don't know. I don't know what to do, the Chi loves us and she is so sweet and affectionate, I feel bad telling her off, but I don't know what to do, it's stressing me out, please help! Thank you.
Ps: I have 5 dogs, never had this problem before!

I have to say from talking to friends with toy breeds, they can be very slow/hard to house-train and very unreliable, and it would not be a good idea to leave them loose as they will dirty where convenient.
Now I don't know if this is purely behavioural, as it being small anywhere apart from where they happen to sleep is OK, or if they simply have much less control and need to be taken out more often than larger breeds.
I have a friend who has had both Paps and now a Pom, and they could not be left loose when they went out as they would nearly always be dirty, and the boy Pom they have now is a monster for scent marking to boot.
Problem is that being small the wees are small, and often won't be found and pretty soon the only clue that they have been is when the furniture and carpets start to stink

No dog should 'normally' shake a lot. A deer type head is simply a Chi that has not been bred within the breed standard for head shape. The shaking may well be Hypoglycemia. Such tiny dogs often do not manage their energy levels very well and need to be fed frequently to keep their glucose levels up.
Rough play is normal for puppies, but as you have two bitches of the same age, and puberty is around the corner, or probably already occurred you may find competition for status will result in fights as they mature, unless they are very different characters and one is willing to back down to the other to assume a lower rank.
As for poo eating, this is quite natural/normal though distasteful to us, behaviour for dog, especially puppies or bitches who have had pups.
