Had my bitch scanned at 27 days and it showed no puppies.

She's got some symptoms - darker nipples, swollen and soft vulva and is very clingy and quiet (totally not her).

She's all health tested and it was a text book mating.

I'm taking her back in 7 days for a second scan but I can't help thinking that 27 days was a bit too early and she may still be in whelp.

I would wait and see what the second scan says, although it's 27 days since mating, she could be a few days less depending on when she ovulated.

i had my girl scanned at 25 days and they saw 8 puppies, howeer depending on the breed yours could be hiding one or two away so deffo wait for next scan before ruling it out, think it also depends on if the person scanning is good at what they do x
