Belle my lab had a stick lodged in her mouth and had to have GA,I never let my dogs have sticks, she is only 12 months old and a handful she had been out in the garden, this happened on friday afternoon,we picked her up from the vets late friday night, she slept well but sat morning her tummy was very noisy and still is,she is refusing her breakfast every day,her tummy seems to settle in the afternoons so  accepts her tea,any ideas what this could be,going to give her chicken and rice today.

Is her mouth sore that is stopping her eating? Was there only the stick in her mouth and a piece hasn't broken off and gone down into her oesophagus/stomach or bowel, if these excessive sounds from the gut continue you need to get her back to the vet for a check over, don't know if sticks show up on Xray or scan.

You may have to give her sloppy food for a few days so she can lap rather than chew.

Eating less than she normally does can cause a build up of bile leading to nausea/vomiting and in turn no interest in eating, as the day goes on and she takes in small amounts things will settle explaining why later in the day she has more appetite.

Hope she gets back to normal soon

She ate her breakfast this morning.since eating her tummy has gone quiet,if her tummy is noisy again in the morning I will take her to our vet,she was very distressed at being left in the vets, she is a rescue dog and she thought she was being dumped again poor girl.
