These came up during a search for dog collar buckles, would be wary that the fine cord could give a friction burn if it was to get caught around a passerby, this happened to my Mum and myself with a cord extendable lead.

The advert said dogs up to 13lbs but video mentions more than one size.

Comments folks?

Having watched the advice on them, you're supposed to leave them attached to the collar all the time.  I wouldn't be happy doing that, my lot would be getting hold of each others collar and would end up dragging each other round in play.  Which is potentially dangerous if it gets wound round something.

Cant see it being much use realy, that little handle is so small if the dog went to chase something it would be too easy to pull it out of the owners hand. When my girl was on her extendi lead when she had hurt her leg she saw another dog and pulled it out of my hand, and that had a propper handle.
Also I dont have the sound on so may have missed it in the vedio but is there actualy a way to stop it extending? what if the dog goes to run if you cant lock it the dog will be off untill the lead runs out which will yank on both the dogs neck and owners arm. Even if there was a way to lock it on the big bit on the coller that not much use if you cant reach it in time to stop the dog running.
also noticed in the vedios all the dogs are walking nicely but if you have a dog that pulls its going to be unconfotable for the owner to hold it.

Flexi brought out a similar product about 15 years ago, although that was tape and from this video was better quality, which never really took off, I doubt this will.

I had that very Flexi device for my GSD, I only used it a few times, I never entirely trusted it.

Some other company did one that wraps around the collar and velcros back to it, just a short traffic handle, which I thought was quite a good idea (not sufficiently that I bought one though), but this looks silly, liable to clonk on something and break or cumbersome for the dog. Whats so difficult about clipping a lead on!
