As you may remember June last year I had 4 SBT. 3 girls and 1 boy. The girls fought real bad and I had to make the decision to re home the 2 younger ones. Fortunately I turned out to be lucky. As one of the girls went to my inlaws. We said that when our bitch passes away( she had COPD) we would try to bring her back home with simba(the boy) anyway it turned out that nala unfortunately passed 1week today. And the fact that my partner is off work this coming week, we thought we could try her back home to see if it would make simba feel a little better. He had ate 1 bowl of food in 5 days as he was missing nala too much. So... Kasey has been home after exactly 14 months, for 1 day, there has been a little bit of dominance shown by simba but no disputes, I don't plan to leave tem together until I am completely satisfied they remember each other. But so far so good. Simba has started playing with his toys for the first time in years, he is returning to a puppy. I think it's because nala was unable to do anything that would make her breathless and simba understood that. Do you think it will help simba cope with the loss of his girl. It's a first for me to have done this. So if anyone can give me any advice I would be grateful.

Well, this may be a breed specific question, with my breed I would say no problem if they got on before they will remember one another and will pick up where they left off, because the group is now different you may find they bond better. However SBTs being SBTs will no doubt have their own ideas so I guess you will just have to try, let them meet in the park and then if all is OK walk them home together so avoiding bringing a 'new' dog into the home without a re-introduction.

I always think the best way to make dogs best pals is exercise. Long walks together form a bond :)

We did that and today simba has put his head on her while she slept. GOOD START! Simba seems like he is perking up. Apart from today when he was staring at nalas ashes. Does he know she's in there? It was overwhelming but in a nice way.

I think they will get on just fine yu know. I know there has got to be a little (tail in the air) time, being opposite sexes it doesn't worry me half as much.

Very much doubt that your Simba would know what the casket held but the casket it's self will have a strange dog smell as it is inevitable that the crematorium staff do not continually wash their hands.

Glad your re-introduction seems to be going well it will be nice for them both to have company again.
