Congrats on the new arrival, is that it or more to come?
Unfortunately having a bitch in whelp can upset things when it comes to the other dogs, all my dogs sleep in my bedroom and towards the end of the pregnancy that bitch goes into the bedroom next door and sleep in the whelping box or in bed with me as I move there too, the door is blocked off with a gate so they can see and hear each other and me, there is wireless CCTV set up for when I need to go downstairs.
The bitch with the pups is fine for a week post whelping then wants to be back in with everyone else during the day so they are moved down in a crate so the other dogs can see but not touch then go back to the whelping box at night.
I am hoping my new girl will be as easy going when she has pups later this year, she settled in well at 10 months old and like her great uncle is very laid back normally.
I hope Maisie settles with the new routine as you will have broken night without a barking dog adding to them
