Got my appointment soon now  :-)
Just wondered how other people found theirs?

Had mine last year. Absolutely fine. The emphasis is on the health and welfare of the dogs you own and on record keeping. No need for multiple sinks ( this came up quite a bit in posts last year ) or luxurious surroundings. Just that you care for the dogs, are knowledgeable about health and safety issues - they were concerned about the busy road we live on and the need for more fencing- and that you fulfill all the obligations an assured breeder should towards the puppies you breed and the people who buy them. Feel free to PM  me if you wish

I had my visit in April and it was nothing to worry about.  My visitor was very friendly, it was more like chatting to a doggy friend.

It just takes months for the report to get back to you!

Just had mine. I agree...like a chatty dog friend.

The report came back rather bland but all ok.
They asked me to improve my info on training including the KC puppy Good Citizen..which I thought ironic as Im a KC accredited trainer..oops! :-)

Does that mean they stayed until midnight, drank gallons of tea and ate all the biccies ;-)

Just one cuppa and wanted no biccies or cake!  Stayed under 2 hours but the time flew.

from what I gather they've improved since the original inspectors who were ex-Defra vets with little experience/knowledge of hobby breeders and who were quite ridiculous in their expectations and requirements and who frightened and bullied a lot of lovely people.  KC seem to have got rid of them and employed more realistic people who've been given better guidelines :-)

my friend had her visit, the only thing she could really fault was the surface of the back yard, which was sort of broken concrete, she has no garden.
