Is it normal after mating for red bleeding to resume? Its not heavy out the ordinary bleeding but I was sure the last time my girl had a litter she didnt bleed much after mating. It was 3 years ago and I could be getting things muddled up but just thought I'd ask. Her season started 14 days ago and she was mated day 11 and 12.
Mine bled for about a week afterwards, she finished her season fine and had a litter just fine afterwards.
Thanks. It is so hard trying to think back and just willing everything to go well after no success the last time!

I have one bitch in particular that bleeds heavily throughout. From day 1, through mating/s and continues to the end of a normal season. She doesn't have any problems whelping, and I know I'm not the only person with a bitch who bleeds after mating. In fact I suppose I find it perfectly normal.
Thanks Jean. Just me panicing as usual :-) Its going to be a long few weeks here lol
On my experience I would find that normal too but understand your anxiety.

Ditto, longest I have had bleed and then whelp that season was 33 days.
One of my girls continued to bleed throughout her season, showed no signs of being pregnant, was scanned at 5 weeks and I was totally shocked to see a belly full of puppies. She went on to have a beautiful litter of 8 pups xx
