Topic Dog Boards / Feeding / Refusing food?
- By Holjack [gb] Date 11.08.12 11:36 UTC
My 4 year old golden retriever has eaten Arden Grange since a pup, however she is now refusing to eat it completely although it was getting to the bottom of a large bag, so much so she has started to lose a bit of weight.
In desperation I tried another brand from a local shop and she is now started to eat again
What's going on , is she just bored of the same food.Any other brand recommended ? As I was pleased with AG and now thrown in confusion.

Try a different flavour, if you contact AG they will no doubt send you some samples to try. I take she went off the food half way through a bag so it is not that you are using one of those that have been changed. It is unlikely that she is fed up with the same food dogs are not like us and seem to prefer the same diet and those who study these things tell us it is also best for their digestive tracks.

I have found that some food goes stale by the time you get to the bottom of a large bag even when kept in an air tight container.
