Fit and Fertile do a good puppy porridge I am told, not used it myself but have heard that it is a very good product.

Fresh mince?

I think you need to remove the breed of your pups.  It is against the terms of service to advertise in this way.

It is acceptable to say small, medium, large breed.

Agree with ginjaninja, start weaning on fresh mince, you will be surprised how well your puppies take to this natural and healthy food supply.
Do you have any idea what the fancy wet mousse type is made of ?

Royal canin weaning porridge ,goats milk ,  beef raw mince ,then go on to something else if you want , but RC gives a good start to pups  to wean onto .

I have a large gundog breed. I start off with raw previously frozen beef steak mince rolled into little balls and given individually. Completely amazed at how easily they took to it!

Didn't bother with porridge, just soaked Arden Grange Puppy well & whisked to smooth porridge consistency. Never had a runny poo and pups were all great on it! Always gave some warm goats milk as "pudding" before letting mum in to top them all up. Pretty straightforward depending on the age you want to start weaning. Have previously weaned onto Skinners puppy but must say the extra price for the Arden Grange was worth every penny!

I'd make it as simple for yourself as possible, if you're weaning onto a good quality complete food such as Arden Grange, just make the porridge from this.

Good luck, this is where the fun starts!!

How do you afford that fish4dogs stuff lol
- By Brainless [gb] Date 06.08.12 09:59 UTC
It's actually very reasonably priced, for the quaklity of the ingredients, especially if you join one of their discount schemes such as breeder club, puppy club.

If you look on the Fish4dogs site, you can join puppy club, I'm sure.    From time to time they have very good discounts offered, well worth while.

If you have show or working dogs, and breed (have a breedign bitch or stud dog) you may be elligible for the breeder club where the discounts are better.  Check the eligibility.
