Hi, i would just like to share my exciting news. My girl has got 4 healthy puppies delivered by c section in the early hours of this morning. 2 girls and 2 boys.
The lady vet and 2 nurses were wonderful, i can't praise them enough. Mother and puppies are now settled.

wonderful! enjoy the next 8 weeks.

Congrats on the new arrivals.
Can I ask why she needed a c/section? It helps us to know of others experiences at time of whelping especially if she needed assistance.
She started contractions at 9.30 By 11.30 she hadnt produced any puppies so i rang the vet for advice. They said to take her in as her breed often needed a c-section. The vet checked her over and felt inside and said that she wouldnt have produced a puppy, she definatly needed a c-section. We were told to go home and they would ring us with news. Not long after they rang and said we had 4 healthy puppies. We took her in at 12 am and had her back home by 1.45am. The vet was excellent and the also the nurses.

Thanks for explaining.
Hope all goes well from now on.
They are all doing so well, my girl is a really good mummy
Congratulations on your new arrivals.

You sound very happy .... great news that everything turned out well good luck with your new arrivals.... 'matchstick time' :)
Tell me about it ha ha. I am really pleased with the outcome especially after reading so many sad stories. It was reading advice given to other people on this forum that made me realize that i couldn't leave it too long before ringing the vets and i'm so glad that i did. So thank you to everybody for your good advice. Oh and the puppies weigh between 5 and 6 oz
