Ive been waiting a long time for my girl to come into season as im keeping a puppy back to hopefully show :-)

,i took her to a hansom champion dog -COMPLETLY fell in love with him as hes sooo loving...anyways,my girl was mated on day 10 and tied with him for 40 minutes....then two days later she began flagging really meaningful to my neutered male who would sniff and get up and walk away.she wouldnt leave him alone.my question really is...would she really have happily stood for the stud dog had she not have been ready? im really not botheredif theres a small small litter ijust want my baby,
i guess no one can really answer me 100% but am definatly intrestedin opinions and experiences xxx

Certainly she would.  Some bitches are right trollops.  I have one here who will flag from day 2 and would mate with a camel given the chance.  :-)

Mine did the same thing and had an average size litter, she was mated as she began to flag and for a week after she wouldn't stop flagging my neutered boy! Now when she's in she's a right trollop!!!

I agree some bitches will stand whether ready or not, others will hump anything that moves regardless of sex and then there are the more aloof who will only allow mating at the optimum time and only for a few days, the same bitch can have different reactions with each season.

Ideally there should be 2 matings 48 hrs apart to get the best result.

Don't worry too much that you are a day or two early.  The sperm can live for 5 days or so.  Too early is better than too late.

I have had bitches who will stand from about day 10 to day 22, trying their hardest to seduce any male dog.  It only seems to happen once they have had a litter though.  I had an old champion bitch who would frequently flirt and flag to her grandson even if she wasn't in season.  In the end I had her spayed.  That was years ago and since then I have always had my bitches spayed once they have had their litters.
