I was stewarding today (Friday) and I noticed that when I handed out the third prize cards it was spelt tihrd.  We had a good laugh round the ring.

I went in the next ring to see if they had noticed and they had not. We all saw the funny side.

All third prize cards printed the same.

I hope the Committee noticed in time to get a discount or refund from the printer.  I'm amazed at how much gets into the public domain with basic printing errors and often wonder if the printer takes financial responsibility.

Ooh I appear to be hopping on my soapbox as I've just sent an email to a friend moaning about typo's in the books I get for Kindle too...  :)

I remember one year receiving prize cards from the printers, they were 3rd place cards but were blue. I now check every time!

A couple of the dogs benched around us won turds today... was almost hoping to win one as well just so I could keep it for a good laugh!!

Mildred got a "turd" place card yesterday too.  I think they had quite a few printing problems - we could not pick our catalogue up till lunch times as had ordered the "full" versions rather than single group, and not enough had been delivered.  Upon the tannoy announcement  going out that catalogues had arrived we went to Secretaries tens - and received a toy group only one!  Interestingly, apparently an Australian Sheopherd was entered in Utility AVNSC - at least according to the catalogue!  Not a good day for the printers!

I wondered if they were made in Ireland my mum got a turd place too lol! Shame it wasnt noticed but we did all have a laugh about it.

Gossip Hound thinks they will become valuable collectors items :)
