Hello everyone,
Being a bit of a show newbie I was wondering if anyone could answer a couple of questions about Leeds. I've got my exhibitors pass (downloaded from Higham Press) and the ring info, but I wondered where you find out where your breeds benching area is? And if they tell you where to park when you get there or if your meant to park in specific areas (like we had to at Border Union) or if its a free for all!
Sorry for the ramblings - I don't want to get lost on the day!!
Thanks x

You will be told where to park when you enter the show ground

When you walk through the area where your passes are checked there is either a person to ask about your benching tent (usually in high viz) or a board stating breed & bench tent
Is there an information sheet with your passes? Sometimes it says on there what ring & bench tent, i got mine postal so cant actually remember what was in them!

You won't get lost :) Just ask someone if you are unsure, people will be happy to help if they can

When you downloaded your passes did you print the car park pass? Mine says car park C so I presume that there are others and there are usually signs roadside.

Where is there a car park pass for Leeds? I don't have anything on my exhibitor pass?
Thanks

I hopefully won't look like a complete idiot on Saturday!!

You wont, at the very worst you will look like someone who does not know what they are doing and you only have to ask and you will be helped as long and the person asked knows the answer.

My first show was WELKS and I did not have a clue, went through the gate and asked the first couple I saw, they had no dog with them, guess what, they were in my own breed how lucky was that. Even these days if you walk along with a particular breed people will point to the correct tent and say they or we are in tent (B) or whatever it happens to be.

I downloaded one with my passes, I am going tomorrow. It says on it Leeds Championship Show 2012, then has a big letter C with car park next to it, underneath  the C it says 27th, 28th & 29th July. It also says...This label is issued to Exhibitors benched in Tent 1 to help in siting you as near as possible. It must be displayed prominently. It is designed to hang from your internal rear view mirror. When C car park is full you will be directed to the nearest available car park.
I thought the other car parks would be labelled A, B etc and would be sited close to other tents?
The passes download is 2 pages, the car park pass is on the second page and the info sheet is a separate download.

That is very strange! My exhibitor pass was only one page and no mention of a car park pass anywhere. I'm showing on Saturday. Am I alone with this??

Just reread your post - maybe it's only relevant for people in Tent 1? I can't find which Tent we are :(

Which ring are you in Ridgielover? we are in 37 so maybe you are right and not everyone needs carpark passes? I would ask just to be safe if I were you.

My friend and myself are there on Sunday and we do not have car park passes either however we are in rings 18 and 19 which are nearer the entrance from the road than ring 37.

I'm there Saturday too and only have 1 page of passes, with no carpark pass.  I don't think we had one last year either.

Your not alone, no car park on mine just people pass, dog pass, dog exit and catalogue.
If there was an option to purchase I would have done so must be from an organisational point of view.

Just checked schedule and car park says free so must definitely be organisational, maybe the ones that have them are a particular side of the show so possibly a bit of forward thinking by the society to save people having to be too far away.  Nothing worse than getting in the grounds and realising you have to go right to the far end.

I'm in ring 19 on Sunday so fits with above that satincollie doesn't have a car park pass either, fingers crossed for car park A for me.

We are there tomorrow, and only 1 page of passes too, with no mention of a car park pass

I believe they have only issued car park passes IF you need car park C, everyone else directed to main car park.

To OP .. Your bench number will be on your Removal pass, and there should be someone near entrance to tell you which tent your benched in.

Will be  there on Saturday to watch and shop .. Can't enter due to my shortened tails.

Don't worry, Flamed22, you won't. That will be me.

Can I join you all in the Look-like-an-idiot Brigade! I also haven't a carpark pass and only carpark A and C are shown on my map of the ground...

My question is - in my download I have three 'GOLD admit one' passes (not for dogs) does this mean that me plus two others can get in?  and if this is the case, can I give two away to my relatives who want to go (later than the crack of dawn) but won't be travelling with me?

OR is the show free to spectators?

Thanks in anticipation and good luck to everyone - I live very locally to the show and the weather has been very dry and pleasant all week - dare I say that wellies will not be needed! :-)

Spectators pay an entry fee so yes you need to give your tickets to the family members that wish to attend and it will also be fine for them to go in later than you.

You also need to use the Gold Admit One passes if you're leaving the show grounds without the dogs and want to come back in. They asked for them when we came back from dropping stuff off in the car at the end of the day.
