Is it possible to spend too much time with your lab? I spend every waking moment and free time with him, and I'm wondering if he's becoming too dependant on me. I feel so guilty when I'm not with him, though!

I think that depends on if this is the way you intend it to be for the rest of your dogs life.If it is then thats fine but if you intend to leave your dog at times then I would suggest that your dog should need to learn how to spend some time away from you or you may find he becomes very distressed when this time comes.

It is important that your dog does get time on his own. At some time we all need to leave our dogs even if only to go shopping and as in all things, this needs training too.
