I am looking for a Blue Roan, rather have a dog of about between 1 & 2 years old.

How much can I expect to pay??

The dog may be castrated as I do not want to use him for breeding, just a loving companion.

That depends - there is no set price for slightly older Cockers! As has been said below, if you are adopting a Rescue Cocker then you would be asked to make a contribution. If you are buying from a breeder then it would be up to the individual breeder how much to ask, though something in the region of £300 would not be unusual. One thing I would say is that reputable breeders will generally be quite cautious if they receive an enquiry for a 1-2 year old Cocker (it is not unknown for unscrupulous people to seek dogs of this age for breeding purposes) so be prepared to be gently quizzed on your motives :-)
