Hoping we won't need it but have been advised by the secretary to spread the word that this show now has wet weather facilities as they have booked the Abergavenney Building!  This show usually is an outdoor show only.

So if this lovely rain continues, although sun is shining and current weekend forecast is good (but do not speak this out loud!), we won't need wetsuits to show in :)

THE SHOW WILL DEFINITELY GO AHEAD WHATEVER THE WEATHER NOW !

Please spread the word

I was thinking about calling today and checking if it was still going ahead as leigh-ann has her first judging appointment there but we recieved her number of entrys this morning so didnt bother, looking forward to a day at a show with no dogs actually

I am meant to be going to an agility show there next weekend but there is only a 50-50 chance of it going ahead due to the condition of the ground there at the  moment so I will  be keeping my fingers crossed that the sun shines and the wind helps to dry the ground out. It's a huge show so doubt very much that there would be room indoors for 11 rings. Fingers crossed for some sunshine - the Olympic cycling road races are also taking place near there that weekend so would be great if it could stay dry for those too.

The forecast is looking promising!!!!

Last weekend the show was indoors (breed not agility) and the grounds outside were quite damp - definitely not running ground - I'll give you an update tomrorow - I am hoping we get to be outside!

Mini heatwave coming - just hope its a bit longer than a mini heatwave - due to go camping next Saturday in Leicester at YKC camp - Jess will be gutted if that doens't go ahead!

I live about 45 minute drive away and the sun is shining here - let's hope it lasts all day.

I was at Hickstead yesterday and the ground was remarkably dry.

Good luck everyone for today...

Hi Lizzie

As promised an update on the ground - we were inside as the grounds were too slippy to run on still but they were drying out - there was a lot of sawdust on the muddy patches - if the weather holds up all this week and we don't get more rain then you may be lucky but the forecast for the back end of the week at the moment isn't good! fingers crossed the forecasters are wrong!

Hope it goes ahead - we are off to YKC camp and I really don't think I can cope with camping in hideous conditions!

Thank you Rachel :-) Have just heard that the show is on but with some adjustments to ring locations, day parking and some of the camping sites. As I will be staying in my tent I am hoping that my pitch isn't too far a trek to the loos :-)

The Olympic cycling road races are in that area at the same time with a lot of road closures so camping seemed like a good idea when I booked it.

Hope the weather is good for the YKC camp too - camping in the rain and mud is not such good fun although I have done it in those conditions once this year and it took a week for all my gear to dry out.
