Just wondered when it'll ever stop!!! We've not had a 24hr period down here in goodness knows how long without the wet stuff falling and now have another amber weather warning for the afternoon...
I know the gulf stream is below us which means the wet weather appears above it but seriously is there no way of shifting it northwards? Lol
All ground around here is boggy, my garden included and the mini floods are getting beyond a joke!!!
Anyone else fed up with it?
Roll on hot sunny weather over our winter months...

Yes rearing puppies is proving not quite the pleasure it could be when it's wet.

Very fed up with it :-( The last two agility shows I had booked have both been cancelled and it looks as though the next one too will follow suit :-(

I've got my house back on the market (buyers dropped out at the last minute - thank you very much!) at the moment and what a nightmare trying to cut the lawns and hedges to keep it looking tidy. The smell of wet dogs doesn't help either!

For once Scotland isn't getting hammered as much as down south, but it's still pretty grim, even if it's not raining, we have an unremittingly grey sky.
I am told there was a rare sighting of the sun in Glasgow yesterday.

I know they said it would be a wet Summer but i didn't think it would be this wet. Don't bother sending the rain North we don't need any more!!

Heavy showers here again today, yet people are congregating for the olympic torch to pass through in the next hour.
Don't mean to depress you all further but was I alone in hearing someone say on the radio last week, that the rain was going to stay with us till Christmas!

CHRISTMAS !!!! I heard september and thoughtthat was bad enough
Will it turn to snow if it stays till Christmas?

Beyond fed up.
Thinking of producing DIY ark kits.

I'll have one of those arks if you have any left ;-)

Us in the Northwest have already got webbed feet and more than enough rain without taking a share from further South.
We had lovely weather in March and I said to my Mum jokingly I hope this isn't our summer.

Lol I meant north of the UK... The southeast is saturated and I'm surprised we've not had really bad flooding to homes around here..

Well the way this weather is going Suejaw, the only way you are going to get any colour is if you go rusty.

Im in South Devon and just so sick of this wet weather.
We went away last weekend locally in our tourer but couldn't go out from the site as it flooded over night all around the area we were in.
Dogs didn't mind the wet walks.....but the caravan did not look to good at the end of the weekend.

Totally fed up. Had several wet rally trials, haven't had to cancel yet but we've had several occasions of having to run for cover. And my girls do not work well on wet grass, they give me filthy looks! Went to WELKS and it was disgusting weather. Had a lucky break with our canal holiday where it only rained one full day and a few showers. But it's really starting to get me down, sitting around in sweatshirts and using the electric blankets at this time of year. :-(
My heating isn't on, was at work on Friday in knee length shorts and a short sleeved shirt.
But admit the weather isn't helping the 'happy chappies' attitude.
Peeps getting very pee'd off and miserable.
Lol my work colleagues didn't believe me that the week in March and the bit of nice weather we
saw in May was our summer.
Mind you they are from alot warmer climates and used to lovely long summers.

I moved to Hampshire towards the end of May when we had a few very hot days but as I was unpacking etc didn't get the chance to enjoy it.
Since then it has been non stop rain and the garden resembles a paddy field! The chins have to wade in it but at least they will spend a penny etc ok but the cavs,as other cavvie owners will no doubt agree with, will absolutely on no account walk on saturated ground. They insist on using the patio or drive.
Have entered and paid for at least 4 agility shows that have been cancelled and I'm very frustrated as my gd7 cav has probably reached an age ,at 8,where this will be her last season at being fast enough to compete with the younger dogs coming up the grades.
Roll on the winter when no doubt it will be dry and sunny!
do you know,Im not even bothered anymore!I look out ,see the rain, yet again, and just get my coat on and go!sigh!

Likewise, and I've bought some brilliant 'summer shoes' they're really bright colours, lots of yellows, pinks and red's, I love my new wellies to bits. :)

Its been sunny & warm here in Manchester this last couple of days :) - had 1 shower yesterday afternoon but lovely otherwise long may it continue lol

Really fed up with this rain, had so many jobs to do outside this year but its been impossible,oh well roll on winter.

Gulf stream is moving north, weather is set to improve after the weekend...
Just in time for the Olympics :-) :-)

It hasn't rained at all today, and as it's St Swithin's Day I feel very encouraged!
> Gulf stream is moving north, weather is set to improve after the weekend...

I'm a natural born sceptic and don't usually give house room to this kind of thing.... but I have wondered if the current theory - that the weather has been deliberately manipulated to ensure it's dry and warm for the Olympics - might have some truth in it.
I know it's possible to spray clouds with something (silver nitrate?) from aircraft to make them drop their rain (a technique pioneered by the King of Thailand to alleviate serious drought), so it makes you wonder. Or not! but it makes me wonder a little bit!

Ditto, so nice with three sets of puppy people here to play with pups.

but how do the clouds get there? There must have been a huge amount of cloud to produce the amount of rain we have had recently.
Edited to add, they must have been out early today it is raining again....
A charity I'm involved with hired a pitch for three days at the Great Yorkshire Show in Harrogate last week and it got rained off after day one. Apparently, it's only ever been cancelled for the war and foot and mouth crisis - this is the first time ever that rain has ever caused it to be cancelled. Not surprised though as the showground was wet through and car parking was a disaster (thought I might need a tow from a tractor, but managed to get out). It's all down to the position of the gulf stream according to the BBC website. Sick of it!

Grey & wet here again today, more than the rain it's the low light level which is realy getting to me. Can't remember another year when in June & July resorted to turning on the central heating!

warm and muggy here, it's just the wet, soggy pups from playing out, but they don't care.
Torrential rain here again today, it was lovely and sunny yesterday and my spirits really lifted. Daft really as it's only water and there are loads of people with more problems than me but it really gets you down. A bit of sun and warmth help to lift spirits, I also have 4 dogs that don't want to be walked or go out in the rain so it's not even a case of walking, getting soaked through and feeling exhilarated!
I heard a forecaster say that September is when summer is going to arrive! I bet there are so many show organisers ( not just dog shows) who are at their wits end :(
