Has anyone used the caravan overnight camping at Richmond?  Where is it in relation to the rings and regular parking?

You have to drive past all the campers to get to the regular car park and there are at least two entrances to the show, one is nearer the camping area. That makes the camping sound horrid but actually the grounds are lovely and I would consider camping at richmond if it wasn't so close to my actual house! It didn't look crowded at all. There was enough space between the track for incoming cars and the actual pitches for it to be ok.

Thanks.  I have seen Motorhomes parked up just to the side of the rough track going up to the far car park, is thus where you mean, literally just to one side of where you drive in?

We use the caravan park as husband stewards there, it is a very expensive for anyone paying, there is water and the toilets are open until 11 ( I think) reopen about 7am. One year we were towed off, it gets churned up quite quick. The motorhomes are parked on the side of the driveway as that is a bit harder but to my knowledge they pay the same amount.

You walk through the car park and then into the show. It never seems totally full but that's probably due to the cost.
