How much should we expect to pay for a cocker spaniel.
Ideally we would like a blue roan of about 2 years old.
We would be very greatful for any advise.

Give Cocker Spaniel Rescue a ring as they may have something around this age looking for a good home:

Cocker Spaniel Club Rescue.

I'm not sure of this Rescue's policy, but most do not usually charge for dogs prefering to ask that you make a donation.

Leigh is right- this is the policy of Cocker Rescue ie you are expected to contribute a donation (& as with all Rescues, no KC or pedigree papers are provided) I have to say however that it is quite rare for a young blue roan bitch (if it is a bitch Midland wants)to come onto Rescue though this is what many people contacting Rescue appear to require! If Rescue do not have anything suitable, then the best thing to do would be to start contacting breeders as they may have an older Cocker they would be willing to sell.
