Got a poorly Woody here, and am getting scared. Just waiting for vets to open.

Son took him out yesterday, and he went swimming in pond. Apparently he was fighting with a log and it hit him in stomach.

Dont know whether that is it or he has picked a tic up or something.

But he can hardly move, his stomach is rock hard & all his back is hunched.

He isnt crying or yelping in pain.

But he certainly isnt behaving and acting like himself.

But can someone wave a magic wand, and make sure it isnt too serious.

Just thought I would share

Has your vet opened yet? It could be bloat in which case it is urgent. Hope he is ok.

Back hunched is definitely pain.  Hope you are at the vets now

Eeeee he had me worried this dog. He has spent all night hunched. It was though his whole body was arched. At one point he kept licking the air.
Not moving, just a little tail wag.

I have been panicking, wondering whether to call emergency vet. Spent all night trying to not guess what was wrong & this morning ended up looking through loads of Health Topics. Well by the time I had finished he had Bloat and allsorts.

Was at the Vets for 9am. And he was walking abit hunched if you like.

We had to wait til she had a space. But every dog that came in esp the bitches he was up trying for a sniff.

And when we got to see her, he bounded in to her. Then I started to feel abit foolish. Why he was all over her surgery having a good sniff, even had a go at the blummin bin.

Anyway she has checked him over thoroughly & took his temp.

Cant find anything wrong. He has abit of a limp. So I have some anti-inflammatorys for him.

She said to take him back monday, if Im still not happy.

He seems alot better in himself now, still quiet and them soppy labrador expressions just abit more pronounced than normal lol :)))

He is still struggling to get up though, its as though he is curling himself to get up.

That sounds like abdominal or maybe back pain, but more the former to me.  How hard did he whack himself with the log?
