My young bitch (15 months) had her first season in March.

Last night - whilst trying to get her to go for a midnight wee I noticed that she is producing milk! there is no way she is pregnant (amongst the fact that the dates dont add up - she has not been near an entire male whilst in season) and not shown any other signs of a phantom pregnancy - I just find this odd !

That is quite normal, in the wild non alpha bitches would produce milk to feed the alpha bitch's pups whilst she was away hunting.

She may have had a split season hence it happening later than expected.

If she had her season in March then times do add up for her to be having a phantom

mine do this all the time. They don't show any other signs ie gathering toys, being glum etc they just produce milk, and sometimes quite a lot other times just in the back nipples. I put mine on Homoeopathic remedies Pulsatilla 15C and Urtica Urens 3C from Dorwest and it seems to really help.

She came into season on March 17th - so I would have expected the phantom last month?

She has been digging a lot - but is a real digger any way,and always has a toy in her mouth - so no change there either!

I have no experience of split seasons,but have noticed all of mine paying a lot of attention to her this past week - I suspected she was due to come in again,then noticed the milk.Was hoping she wouldnt come in again so soon as heard this often indicates being infertile ?

It isnt too late to be a phantom, yes she came into season on 17th but would have been due a litter beginning of June.
You need to take toys away from her(to stop her nursing them) & get rid of the milk, I recommend Dorwest Garlick & Fenugrek. Giving her the correct doseage should help drastically in around 1 - 2 weeks.

Has any other female had a season since March? If so that may have triggered her to produce milk.

Don't keep looking for milk as that will make her produce more, she isn't nesting etc. so things should return to normal quite quickly

Lexy did Dorwest recommend Garlic and Fenugreek for phantoms and the reduction of milk? They told me to use raspberry leaf and Pulsatilla 15C and Urtica Urens 3C.

They certainly did, it get toxins from the body & it deffinately works on my bitch..have used it a few times.
I tried raspberry but it didnt work on her as well as giving her the garlic & fenugrek.
After using it the first time, when she actually had milk, I use it now from just before the end of her season, until a few weeks after the non litter would be due & that system works for her.
