Topic Dog Boards / Breeding / Am I able to bath her ?

My bitch first tied 5 days ago, and shes a bit whiffy (she needed a bath prev to this and I was going to bath her sunday but after the tie I didnt end up bathing her) Shes pure white so everything shows up too. Am I able to bath her ? Will it do her or any impending litter any harm ? I dont intend to submerge her into water as I know any water getting up her can cause infection so I intend to shower and shampoo her but wanted to ask first if this was ok to do ?

Provided you are showering her and not standing her in a bath of water she should be fine, the cervix is open slightly during a season [if she is pregnant then a plug will form, don't know how long that takes to happen]so you don't want dirty soapy water going up her vagina and getting to her uterus via the open cervix.

Well shes bathed, well I should say showered. No she wasnt submerged into water I just used the shower hose to wet her and then applied her usual shampoo and rinsed x
