I just found a lump on my EBT back leg, its poking out from under her fur almost like a skin tag, pink fleshy soft and wobbly,
its about the size of a small marble, on the back of her hind leg a little above the knee,,

i have spoke to my friend tonight who has my bitch's brother and she says he has had similar thing and had been vets and was told it was nothing serious ,which made me feel bit better,,

Till iv now came on the pc and had a google,, and am now a a bit worried as even tho i have just seen the lump tonight,
my girl has over the last week been sick a few times,, i put this down to us changing their food and maybe it not agreeing with her,,

but the main reason for the food change was because she seemed to be losing weight over the last month,
Again i wasn't that overly worried about the weight loss as my bullies have been doing alot more running since we can use a secure lock in round my area , and she was a wee bit podgy anyway,

now i find this lump and am getting rather worried when i start putting all these things together,,

im making vet appointment in morning and fingers x , its nothing to worry about, she is 6 yrs old this year,,

Lumps can appear out of the blue and most times are nothing to worry about.

My 3 yr old dachsie developed a lump on the edge of her ear, took her to the vets who didn't think it was anything serious, I insisted it was removed so 3 days later she went back to the vets for removal and I payed the extra £40 to have it examined properly, the receptionist said folk don't usually bother, I told her I wanted to know what I was dealing with, it came back as benign, her ear had a small notch out of the edge but when her long hair grew back it wasn't visable unless I went looking for it. I kept a close eye on the area just in case any cells had been left behind but it never came back.

I hope the vet can reassure you tomorrow

My Beano is nearly 11 and has lumps all over him, They are Warts. He has a large one on his lip, that you can actually squeeze stuff out of every so often.
He did have one removed when he had his ears done years ago, as I kept catching it with the clippers, but they are harmless, and they dont do anything with them unless they are in the way.

i am trying to not get myself to worked up about it,  we going to vets at 4 today so hope i hear same,, as for the squeezing stuff out of it :-/, dont think i want to be doing that lol ewwww,

my friend said exact same thing about my girls brother who also has one of these lumps she squeezes his every so often, i just couldn't do it lol,,

afraid last night when i was looking up lumps on line it was really starting to get me worried. so i came here and stopped reading to much into things,

she not being sick now as i started  her on that James Wellbeloved saturday, so i do think the sickness was the food i had changed to last month, and the weight loss def gotta be the running she's now doing,, she can now run free if a safe place and has been darting around like a typical bully nutter, lol,,

well when i find out for sure it is nothing, i dont think i would bother getting it removed she is not licking it at all its not bothering her and i love her warts and all :-),,

i am keeping a  positive mind :-) and Ellie Belly gets a trip to the vets,, (crazy dog loves the vets lol) think she thinks its a day trip when we take her their haha,,

Might be a hystiocytoma (sp), if it is they are nothing to worry about but are usually taken off to stop them getting injured.

ok just googled that the first picture that come up, yes its kind of like that but more hanging a little not flat to the skin in a lump, and its not red at all, its same color as her skin ,

no hair on it either its completely smooth,

Could it be a tick ?

thanks LJS, I read a bit about these,, only im not sure if we get these in my area,(do i now sound really stupid lol sorry) ,its only that i have never heard of anyone ever having a problem with ticks,,
guess i ways assumed they where more a country thing, not found in the city's, , im probably wrong and now really do sound stupid hahaha,,

needs to refer  to google  on that one lol,,

More than likely just a fleshy wart, specially if your girl is getting older. Definitely always best to check at the vet, but chances are it will be nothing to worry about. I know what it's like though - my 10 year old recently got a lump where his testicles used to be, I was 99% certain he'd just rubbed it and it was a slightly infected bit as it didn't feel like a lump or wart exactly, but there's always that 1% little voice saying 'omg it's some rare form of cancer and the vet will pts then and there'. Of course it was just an infection and he's fine now, and I'm sure your girl will be too. :-)

Hello :-D,,, Looks like Celli was right Vet said it seems to be a hystiocytoma,, just don't ask me to say it i'll loss me teeth, lol

said im to keep my eye on it but it should go down on its own,, must watch her that she dont start biting it,,

well i dont think she even Knows its their,, like to keep it that way ;-)

im going to have a good read up on it later when im out of the kitchen but if anyone has any advice on these things , and is worth getting it taken off, its really not in the way of anything being on the back of her leg,,

Anyway She seems very happy in herself,  loved up and licked the vet to death, lol,,

She shoots she scores ! :-)

Joking aside, that's brilliant news, lumps are always such a worry.
