My mad  OH is 7 years retired from his former job, he he has since worked  for himself as a taxi owner/driver.
Now the mad fool is going back to doing pretty much as he was doing when he retired but in a civillian role!
So, am I happy, well yes really.
Commuting is not an issue, he will not have the extra pressures as he will be a mere civvie, and he actually loves the job...win win.
I get to have a routine again, more time with my dogs.
Only bad thing is shirts. I suppose he can do his own cant he?

Oh yes - that's a definite yes :-)

The ironing pixies left this house many years ago! So yes - he can definitely do his own shirts.

But what about all the other household chores? If everything else (bar the shirt ironing) is being undertaken by the lady of the house, then I'm afraid he can still do his own shirts!

I am biased though, and hate ironing. As Suejaw suggests, most of my clothes are crease free (hung up carefully to dry, and rarely need ironing).

Yes, those too :)
I work part time and do not expect my husband, who works full time, to do these things.  Apart from anything else, this means more time to do things together when he is not working.

What's ironing? ;-)

Stooge, I hope your husband appreciates how lucky he is.
Mine will have the crease resistant ones, I do, do the washing, but refuse to do all the household chores.
It is OUR home not mine.
Nor am I his mum.
He is actually choosing to go back to full time (mad fool). But we do work well as a team at home really, so all is well :)
