just a quick question my retriever is 13years and 3 months , he has been having a few nose bleeds and tonight was breathing quite funny for a short spell also when he sneezed blood came out any ideas or should i just take him to vets 

I'd be off to the vets tomorrow, I've no idea what it could be but whatever it is it needs checking out

I feel that blood from any orifice needs investigating as a matter of urgency. (With the exception of an in-season bitch of course, lol).

I agree, get him to the vets as soon as you can tomorrow morning.  I hope it's something simple and I have my fingers crossed for you x
