I know this has been asked before but I cannot find the answer in the "search" option. I recently took other people's advice and bought panacure in the larger bottle (10%) not specifically for dogs. I am confused with the doseage required for a dog of 25kg. It does seem to be rather a lot required. Looking at another forum it was suggested 1ml per 4kg and another poster said give it every day for 3 days! I am totally confused now and although this is very cost effective I seriouslt wonder if I am better off just getting my normal tablets in the future!

Don't know dosage but yes Panacur does need to be given for 3 days which is why I avoid it at  all costs. So much easier with a single dose.

The dosage for nomral worming for an adult dog of 25kg is 25ml as one dose.  If thsi was a pregnant bitch then it would be 1/4 dose, so 6.25m daily.

For treating lungworm or Giardia it is a half dose (12.5ml) daily for 7 days, or whatever the extended duration is.

When worming puppies it's a half dose (0.5ml per kg) daily for three days.

You can download the dosing chart from hyperdrug or other sites for dogs.

thank you for taking the time to reply. that was the dose I had seen but was scared to give as it seemed so much! ok I know what to do now but would rather ask than overdose. It was just for normal run of the mill worming for adults.

I have used Panacur 10% for many years.  For both toy dogs and Collies.  For adults such as my 20kg Beardie then it is most definitely 1ml per kilo.  So, 25ml for my larger Beardie.  All mine have been fine on this dosing.
