I'm hoping to have semen stored from my young dog. Just wondered if anyone had experience of Clone UK? I'm in the area (SE England) at the moment and am considering giving them a buzz in the morning but wondered what other people thought?

I used them on Wednesday (the place near Gatwick) to have my stud dogs semen frozen. I was very pleased. Super professional service and they fitted me in quickly.

Now this is something I wish the Kennel club would run a storage facility for canine semen (and eventually ova). 

The worry with any privately run commercial facility, is what happens if they go bust, suddenly start charging exorbitant fees for storage etc.

Also people with god males should consider storage when the dogs are young at 2 - 3 years of age, often people think of doing it once their dog ages and AI results are less good with older dogs semen.

My lad is rising 4 and I've been meaning to do this for a while. I'm in Kent at the moment so Horley is convenient - just a short trip off the M25 on my way home. I've spoken to a lady there (only phoned to pick up their opening times!) and they are going to let me know tomorrow if they can fit me in.
How much is the yearly storage charge, trameg? Unfortunately the price list isn't on their site yet. I think they are dearer than someone else I contacted a while ago, but they are close!

I was interested in their chilled semen kit. Has anyone ever used one of these?

It is £60 per year for storage. It was £320 for 2 collections, evaluation, freezing and storage for a year.
