Oh damn.
Thought I was sooo organised.
I've had 4 dogs scored before - and am having another scored tomorrow, all booked, ready to go.Only difference is I bred this one.Its the first one I have bred that I have taken to be scored.
So,usually,I fill out the green and orange forms, take them along with the KC Registration, pay and thats sorted. So I am getting it all ready today - when I realsie that I have not got a KC registration certificate for her because I bred her - so didnt transfer the ownership to me ...as she was mine anyway!!! so all I have is the blue form - is this sufficient do you think ??
ARRGGGHHH ! ! ! :-(
- By Goldmali Date 30.05.12 08:36 UTC
You don't transfer a dog to yourself and the form you have IS the registration certificate. :)
- By Ghost [gb] Date 30.05.12 08:40 UTC
Oh thank bloody god !

I rang the Kc and they said they didnt know! they said I am listed as the owner , but why did I not have a KC Registration form? I told her because i didnt transfer ownership because i AM the owner - so all I have to take with me is the blue form with the 'registration information' was this sufficient ..she went round in circles again . . .
- By Ghost [gb] Date 30.05.12 08:47 UTC
ok - so to be really blonde - even though it dosent say 'registration certificate' - it says 'registration information' - this is what i should  take? oh god I'm dumb  . . .
- By parrysite [gb] Date 30.05.12 09:24 UTC
Sorry to hijack your thread but I've never ever gotten round to getting Nando's papers transferred to my name. Will I have any trouble transferring it? Should I have done it sooner?
- By rachelsetters Date 30.05.12 09:34 UTC
No Josh it can be done at any time - you can do online as well so simples :)
- By Jeangenie [gb] Date 30.05.12 09:39 UTC
I'm curious; how old is your dog? I ask because Daisy's registration document when I bought her from her breeder said "Registration Certificate" near the top, and with her breeder (naturally) listed as her registered owner. Doesn't yours say the same? (Daisy's only 14 months old so it's a recent certificate.) Since I transferred ownership into my name the certificate says "Owner Registration Certificate" under Kennel Club Accredited Breeder Scheme, with of course my name now as her registered owner.
- By Ghost [gb] Date 30.05.12 09:51 UTC
She is also 14 months old - but this is a blue form that says 'Registration information' at the top,and then has my details (as breeder) and pup details etc
- By Jeangenie [gb] Date 30.05.12 10:01 UTC
Daisy's certificate is a sort of pale mauve, with a gold KC 'stamp' at the bottom right corner.

The KC website has a picture of the 'registration information' certificate that proves registration. Don't worry, you've got the right form, and don't need to do anything more. As her breeder you're also her registered owner (unless you sell her, of course!).
- By Ghost [gb] Date 30.05.12 10:22 UTC
I just hope they agree tomorrow and dont refuse to xray ! could kick myself :-(
- By Jeangenie [gb] Date 30.05.12 10:32 UTC Edited 30.05.12 10:36 UTC
You've got the only form a breeder gets; she's registered in your name as the current owner because you're her breeder.

By the way, what's the orange form you mention? When I had Daisy's done I only had to complete a green form.
- By Ghost [gb] Date 30.05.12 10:50 UTC
phew - yes, spoke to them - they said as long as its an official KC document its fine
- By Ghost [gb] Date 30.05.12 10:50 UTC
Orange is for elbow testing, green for hips x
- By Jeangenie [gb] Date 30.05.12 10:58 UTC
Ah, thank you. I didn't think of that. :-) Good luck tomorrow. :-)

> ARRGGGHHH ! ! !

Sounds like you're pretty organised again now.  I prescribe a cup of tea (or whatever works for you) and a sit down.  Breathe!

...and good luck for tomorrow :)
- By PDAE [gb] Date 30.05.12 14:45 UTC
You will have had the registration certificate, if this only names the dog concerned then that's it certificate, if it names the rest of the litter then that's the one that just shows all of the details.

> You've got the only form a breeder gets; she's registered in your name as the current owner because you're her breeder.

This form usually hass the advertising spilling onto it from the attached  KC welcome letter, but at the bottom it tells you that if you send this into the KC (as yoru keepign the pup) then you will be sent a nice spanking new beige one without the garbage on.

I didn't bother for years, but one of mine got a bit damp and dog eared when I had it in my show bag for eye testing at a show, so I went  through all mine and asked for nice new ones FOC for all of them :)
- By suejaw Date 30.05.12 19:10 UTC
Where are you going for the scoring? I'm getting mine done tomorrow too :-)
- By Ghost [gb] Date 01.06.12 07:05 UTC
Just seen your reply Suejaw-our app was at 2pm at Wanitopa, love it there as I can go in with her and they only sedate.Panic was for nothing as you were all right and why I had was fine!also notice the teeny tiny note on my paperwork saying I can apply for a free certificate-dog! Any idea when the next BVA sitting might be?
- By Ghost [gb] Date 01.06.12 07:09 UTC
Does any one have any idea when the BVA are next due to sit for hip and elbow scoring?
- By Ghost [gb] Date 01.06.12 08:12 UTC
I tried to find out online but no luck!
- By JAY15 [gb] Date 01.06.12 08:34 UTC
Can't you ring them up? I can't recall how it came about, I must have ruing them for some other reason but the woman I spoke to was quite happy to tell me when they were next empanelled
- By Ghost [gb] Date 01.06.12 08:43 UTC
I'm away for the weekend,I'll try ringing them wen I'm back on Wednesday,I'm just anxious to know! Not that I can do anything about how long it is ! Just wondered if I might be able to guesstimate by people's recent dates!
- By JAY15 [gb] Date 01.06.12 08:51 UTC
If this is anything to go by they were scoring dogs around the third week of the month when my dog was done, but they may be doing more than 1 panel a month. Good luck, hopefully you will have some good news soon!
- By Ghost [gb] Date 01.06.12 09:11 UTC
When was yours scored Kay? I think they meet every 6 weeks so I may be able to work it out roughly!
- By JAY15 [gb] Date 01.06.12 09:18 UTC
The plates were taken 28/02/2011 and he was scored on 23/03/2011. I had another dog x-rayed 15/02/2009 and scored 17/03/2009, so the dates seem reasonably consistent around mid-month to third week.
- By Ghost [gb] Date 01.06.12 09:55 UTC
Thanks hun x
- By Missie Date 01.06.12 10:00 UTC
I've just heard they are next sitting on the 8th June. I'm patiently waiting too :)
- By suejaw Date 01.06.12 11:43 UTC
The last sitting was on the 17th May 2012, and I was told they are doing every 6 weeks or do.. If the next one is 8th June then we shouldn't have to wait too long eh??  Good luck everyone.

Piratebear I was at the same place a few hours earlier..
- By Brainless [gb] Date 02.06.12 01:17 UTC
Had mine x-rayed on 10th May so must ahve misssed that sitting, was hoping they would be back this coming week, oh well it won't be until after 8th.
- By Brainless [gb] Date 06.06.12 08:45 UTC
I was sure they sat at least fortnightly.

Just phoned the BVA and my girls were scored on 30th May (x-rayed 10th), but the results haven't reached my vet yet, so have asked vet to ring them for the result, as they won't give it direct to the owner.
- By claire_41 [gb] Date 06.06.12 08:55 UTC
My bitch was xrayed 15th May scores were with vet on 4th June.
- By saintmarys [gb] Date 06.06.12 10:26 UTC
Mate select on the KC web site will have the scores prior to the results being sent out Also if Marilyn has done them they go to her first then she posts them on to the  dogs owners.  Marilyn is very good at  giving an approx score and advice as to whether to submit the plates for hips and elbows I really do not know what we down south would do should she stop
- By Brainless [gb] Date 06.06.12 10:34 UTC
Been trying the KC Mate Select/health test finder and that hasn't been updated.
- By Jeangenie [gb] Date 06.06.12 10:41 UTC

>Mate select on the KC web site will have the scores prior to the results being sent out

I had my dog's results back three weeks before the results were on the KC site.
- By claire_41 [gb] Date 06.06.12 10:54 UTC

> Been trying the KC Mate Select/health test finder and that hasn't been updated.

same here, but vet had results.
- By Brainless [gb] Date 06.06.12 13:56 UTC
l pleased with a score of 3/4.  Mum was 11 and sire was OFA Good  (normally up to 10 our scheme)
- By Ghost [gb] Date 06.06.12 18:35 UTC
I had a peak on the mate select - nothing yet, though it is a tad early! she was only xrayed on the 31st May !
- By Ghost [gb] Date 08.06.12 11:03 UTC
Just spoke to the BVA who said that the board now sit every single week ! ! !
- By Brainless [gb] Date 08.06.12 15:50 UTC
That was my understanding, the wait is down to backlogs as I assume they go through the submissions in the order they get them.
- By Ghost [gb] Date 16.06.12 20:30 UTC
SUEJAW - Any joy yet? my cheques has not even  been cashed yet! grr . . .can't bear waiting! lol
- By suejaw Date 17.06.12 06:24 UTC
My cheques for the BVA haven't be cashed, Marilyn has cashed hers!
- By Ghost [gb] Date 17.06.12 08:05 UTC
same here ! ha ha!

We did have the two bank holidays on the Monday Tuesday after we went - so hope thats whats taking so long, but I would have thought the cheques would have cashed by now.

I hate waiting!
- By Jeangenie [gb] Date 17.06.12 08:28 UTC
The BVA cashed my cheque on 17th May for hip scoring done on 25th April.
- By Brainless [gb] Date 17.06.12 09:03 UTC
I paid cash to the vets, but mine was x-rayed on 10th may and scored on 30th may, but I didn't get the score back for over a week because of the bank holidays.

Results still not up on KC health checker, nor the eye test (though she is DNA clear) for the bitch whose pups are now 3 1/2 weeks old.
- By Ghost [gb] Date 18.06.12 07:44 UTC
I emailed the BVA on Saturday - the lady 'Sandra Webber' has been really helpful, she replied at 7.30 this morning to say that my xrays (x rayed 31st) where recieved by them June 7th - due to be screened June 20th (this Wednesday) and will be sent back on Thursday 21st.

At least I know they have been recieved.

Phew!
- By suejaw Date 18.06.12 08:59 UTC
Ah fab and then we have to wait a few weeks for Marilyn to send them to us!! Lol
- By Ghost [gb] Date 18.06.12 17:13 UTC
did you not fill out a S.A.E ? they will send them straight to you if you did x
- By suejaw Date 18.06.12 20:50 UTC
BVA don't send them straight to us, they go back to Marilyn and she then sends them on. I double checked on 31st May when chasing my breeders. M was sent them last time on 18th May and still by 31st she hadn't sent them all out as 2 people I know we're waiting, they got them on the post a week later :-)

So guessing at that a few more weeks before we are likely to get them in the post!
- By Missie Date 19.06.12 15:23 UTC
Got mine back now. He was xrayed 23rd May, scored 13th June, vets received them today :)
