If you live in or near North Somerset, or visit the area (there are a number of shows in Weston Super Mare) you might be interested to know that

"the consultation on new Dog Control Orders is due to go live between the 1st and 30th June 2012.  The consultation is likely to generate interest from the public, mainly from dog walkers in local areas.  Notices are going up at the sites in question and people are being urged to visit the council's website or their local library to comment on the proposals.

Worth a look if you're interested, these DCO's are being used more and more.  I can see 8 new areas added for dog exclusion, 15 for dogs on leads, plus a number of amendments to existing orders in this region.
