I need to get a new blaster. I want one that will handle large hairy dogs with lots of undercoat. a friend has recommended Christies mega blaster 2 but at over £500 It is a bit out of my price range. The Aeolus Hercules TD-900X sounds very powerful and is more the price I am looking for. Has anyone tried either of these blasters or has a different one they love? thanks
Does no one on here use blasters?

I have a MegaBlast 2 which is brilliant at drying my newfs. Only drawback is the hose is about 15 ft long and it does get a bit heavy/awkward to hold after about an hour!! I've had mine about 5 years and it works just as well now as when I first had it. It cost around £350 then and there is a new version of it out now which will probably be dearer.

I've got one but I'm not very keen so I didn't answer your first post. Think it might be an Aeolus but it's not branded, and it's supposed to be a blaster/dryer, it's ok as a blaster I guess once you get the hang of twisting the nozzle on so it doesn't blow off, but it's not very good as a dryer, the nozzle is too long and is made of metal so gets too hot to touch very quickly. I have a Supajet for my dryer now and I love it!
Still love the Tornado....
Mine has lasted over 20 yrs with constant use.
thanks. I think I will try and get to one of the champ shows and hopefully there will be some I can try out
We bought a rosy rocket from splendid pets at crufts, we are really happy with it, we've got st Bernard's and it copes with their coat really well, has 4 settings, and we got it around £165 I think, we were toying with getting a gizmo but it was just so expensive, we decided to give the rosy rocket a go, the only thing is (and I don't really understand electrics) it nearly melted an electric socket so we had to buy an rcd extension lead with a thermal cut out to be on the safe side, its been perfect since using that, I would totally recommend it

Simpsons blaster, have it 20 years and it's as good as the day I got it! Highly recommended :)

Ive got an Aelous which was cheap and works a treat, others who've purchased it after for Berns, Sams and GSD's have been very happy with it
I also have a Aelous for my Gsd's and have no complaints at all, it was very cheap, got it from ebay.

I have an Aeolus and no complaints from here.

I've heard very good things about the B-Air dryer, but I'm not sure if they're sold in the UK. I have a Air Force Metro which I understand is pretty much the equivalent of the Aeolus blaster. Mine is about 8 years old and very noisy, but it's powerful and I've had no problems with it. I also understand they newer ones are much quieter.
