Countrymun still gets my vote. Just wish I had one big enough for my Yankee for the show tomorrow, I only have 2 coats, and while he could just about squeeze into the one my larger Cavalier wears, when I tried the smaller Cavalier coat on her, it was about 3 inches short! Might treat myself for my birthday....

My dogs have these ones http://www.prestigepets.co.uk/cool-coat/ and were wearing them yesterday in the garden. They were laying around until I put the coats on then they started playing with each other. When I put my hand between the coat and their back they really were surprisingly cool.

thanks rjs but i want a coat that is dry so the dogs can use in the house when it is hot. they do not go outdoors when its hot, but i would like to have them a bit cooler in the house. we have fans on in the house and stone floor in the kitchen so its not too bad, just had such a heatwave the last wk!

They are odd coats, feel dry to the touch and they certainly don't leave wet patches where they have been lying or drip water anywhere! My back door was open last week and they were coming and going as they wanted, lying on the cool kitchen floor and there was no wet floors.

I have some from www.wagware.co.uk   Very light cloth, and stays cool.
