Hi all you great cooks.  The recipe calls for coriander puree from a tub.  Not been able to find it in the supermarkets.  Can anyone give me a recipe to make it from scratch.  Thanks

not sure if this is the same thing but most supermarkets sell herbs coriander included in squeezey toothpaste type tubes if thats any help

Ditto ff above, but also search for it under Coriander paste - it's used a lot in indian cooking so check the 'world' section of your supermarket.  Here's one

However it's basically coriander preserved in oil with a little salt and vinegar.  If you google 'preserve coriander' or use the american term Cilantro you should find a few suitable recipes.  It was on Gardeners World (is that the name of the BBC2 programme?) with Jekka someone or other too.  She showed you what to do with a range of different herbs I recall.

I would think that for your recipe you could just use fresh chopped coriander with a drop of oil for the same effect...
