Can anyone point me to a page or site with good background and history to the KC.  Covering such information about how and why it first started, what the 'management' structure is, the decision making process etc.  Reading it about it under KC AGM thread has made me curious to have some more detailed historical background than I currently have.

I'd also like a really good book about the history and development of dog showing in general - any ideas?

Are you anywhere near London?  I believe they have an excellent library which you can request access to.  I dare say there is a good section on themselves :)

Thanks for those links LJS.  I should have mentioned that I had read the KC pages but rather felt I wanted more information from a few different sources.  The KC information is quite brief (necessarily so given the 'space' it occupies) and I'd like a bit more meat on the bones/i] as it were.  I suspect I'm looking for a book really...

Unfortunately it's not easy to get to the KC premises for their library and I'd like some coffee table reading material.
