Hi guys wondering if you could point me in the right direction.I have won five 1st places at open level. I know I can't go in novice as that says (not won CC or 3 or more first prizes at an Open and Champ show). So am I ok to enter Graduate or Post Grad or could I enter both these classes .

you dont say if the 1st firsts are in the same class or if they are at champ show or open show level, i belive number of wins in grad and post grad only count at champ shows where cc's are on offer for the breed.

I think the answer used to be no if you were entering a CH show as wins at both CH and Open shows were counted but now if you are entering a CH show your open show wins don't count. hope that makes sense?
Here is the definition from Southern Counties.......

GRADUATE   For dogs which have not won a Challenge Certificate or four or more First prizes at Championship Shows in Graduate,
Post Graduate, Minor Limit, Mid Limit, Limit and Open classes, whether restricted or not where Challenge Certificates were
offered for the breed.
POST GRADUATE   For dogs which have not won a Challenge Certificate or five or more First Prizes at Championship Shows
in Post Graduate, Minor Limit, Mid Limit, Limit and Open classes, whether restricted or not where Challenge Certificates were
offered for the breed.

The wins we had were at open shows and on a couple of occassions we are the only ones entered and the show is a Southern Counties SBT limit show so would I count these to determine what class I'm in.

Hi if its the show on 17th June then here is the definition of classes G & PG......

GRADUATE: For dogs which have not won Challenge Certificate or four or more First Prizes at Championship shows in Graduate, Post Graduate, Minor Limit, Mid Limit, Limit and Open classes, whether
restricted or not where Challenge Certificates were offered for the breed.
POST GRADUATE: For dogs which have not won a Challenge Certificate or five or more First Prizes at Championship Shows in Post Graduate, Minor Limit. Mid Limit, Limit and Open classes, whether restricted or
not where Challenge Certificates were offered for the breed

As your wins were at open shows you should be fine to enter either class :-)
