Where on FB?  Do you have a link as cannot find it and nothing posted on OD or DW sites.  Thanks.

Rain's stopped finally, might even see a bit of sunshine this afternoon.

Fingers crossed.  Any sign of the first lot of rings being relocated indoors as a previous poster has mentioned?  Cannot find this anywhere on FB, SKC website, or Fossedata.

It was posted on Scottish Showdogs site I believe

It looked to me like all the judging was indoors, lovely and warm too. It did make everything outside a bit of a ghost town though.

I'm now completely head over heels about HWHV, what absolutely fantastic well balanced dogs, I only saw one that could have been classed as being nervy, and even then he seemed to settle with some very gentle coaxing by the judge.

One thing I thought was badly thought out was the parking, I would have thought exhibitors would have been better parked closest to the gate and near the concrete path, but cars and vans were all over the place, I got there about 10.30 and got directed to park very close to the entrance, right at the path, but vans that obviously had dogs were parked meters away over muddy fields.

A bit splendid aren't they!  I was watching results on Fosse - was the puppy dog place withheld or is it a reporting error?

The benching areas were very wet and muddy, take your wellies. Our breed abandoned the benching completely and camped inside near the ring.
- By gwen [gb] Date 18.05.12 20:10 UTC
Were all breed indoors?  I saw some posts on FB earlier with complaints from some Utility breeds, inc. Shibas, saying they were outside still.
- By kayenine [gb] Date 18.05.12 20:22 UTC
Some rings were indoors but I saw some outdoor rings as well (under cover in the tents).
- By Boody Date 18.05.12 21:35 UTC
We were most definatly indoors as was shibas, Lhasa's , labs lots of other breeds too, we were benched far away from our ring it was freezing cold very muddy and generally very shoddy. It annoys me to think that so many of us just got dumped here there and everywhere the labs were benched by our ring down one end and we was benched all the way down by their ring, totally crap And worse show ive done ever. Everyone's feet was so cold we were all in slow mode in the ring :-(

Also I heard someone complaining that the Chinese cresteds were going to be outside tomorrow and that would cause alot of problems, I hope the weather is better for them.
- By gwen [gb] Date 19.05.12 08:33 UTC
This weather is going to be a nightmare for the Ch shows if it stays this way.  I understand how frustrating it is for everyone, but at lease ingiston does have inside space available.  Just heard on the weather forecas this morning that it looks gloomy till end of June, and then July will be lbazing hot, followed by further awful weather!

Ah, I wonder if that was the nervy dog, who was young, if it was he was the only one in the ring and didn't get anything. I thought it was a bit odd for there to be only one dog in the ring, and later assumed the judge had allowed him a "trial run" to settle his nerves, as the same owner was back in the ring later, with what I thought was the same dog, but perhaps not.
Can you tell I know nowt about showing ! lol.

Thanks Celli.  I'm guessing, but I might know 'who' and in that case it was the pups first show...  Next time the handler went in the ring it would have been with one of his older dogs

I'm pleased you had the chance for a proper look at the breed and liked them :)

All breeds were indoors.  The ring you seen outdoors was the junior handling ring and NSC stuff.  Must say, I prefered it that way and the rings seemed a lot bigger and with no huge pole in the middle.
Parking is still the same in the same place.
Everyone just benched beside the rings(even some large breeds had their cages next to the ring) cos it is Boggin!!!
The stall holders had big bits of plywood down to try and ease the muck but take your wellies.  Good shopping though! But don't bother sharpening any blades as it's just the one stall and they are rubbish! Mine will be sent to Diamond edge to see if they can undo what that idiot did!
Brill day out and loads of shopping for my dogs!

No all breeds were not indoors mine wasn't and nor was the other 10 breeds with us in the tents
- By rjs [gb] Date 19.05.12 21:10 UTC
Rings 1 to 14 are indoors, all other rings are in the tents as is all the benching.

As far as Im concern all breeds on Friday were inside the hall. Nice big rings and plenty of room inside.
One of my fav shows to date.
Parking area bit muddy though.
- By Boody Date 19.05.12 21:38 UTC

Celli, Glad you liked our lovey breed, .be warned they are very addictive ! the witheld was right, young dog first show. A nice day despite the weather being so cold, but we were inside for the showing with large rings !

I'm pretty certain my next dog will be one, they seem pretty ideal to me :-)

I did have a chuckle at the chap with the nervous youngster, when he came in the ring again with another dog, as he crouched down to the dog, it just about jumped onto his shoulders to give him a big snog lol, and even better, he gave it a big cuddle back.
